A Fundraiser for Marikina: ISA-ISA SAMA-SAMA Presents "PIECE OF PASKO"

Chunky Butt Ice Cream, a neighborhood micro-creamery who brings unique and exciting ice cream flavors to Oakland, CA has partnered with The SALO Series founder & fellow 1st gen. immigrant, Yana Gilbuena. They’ve created a fundraising flavor inspired by Christmas back home. 🇵🇭

Bibingka or sticky rice cake is many things, but during Christmas, it means a fluffy rice cake steamed in banana leaf with toppings of salted egg, grated coconut & plenty sugar. Best consumed in the middle of the night, sold by street vendors outside church. This is precisely that, in ice cream form. A piece of Pasko.

One half-pint sold means one hygiene kit bought for a resident of Marikina City in the Philippines. It’s that simple. Do good, and eat ice cream.
